This Corojo cigar honours the authentic Cuban cigar.
Between the 1930s and 1990s, all Cuban cigars used Corojo tobacco as wrappers. Due to the delicate nature of and difficult growing conditions required to cultivate Corojo tobacco, Cuba stopped growing the crop in the late 1990s. The last harvest occurred in 1997.
No original Corojo tobacco is grown today in Cuba. No Cuban cigar uses original Corojo tobacco as a wrapper today. Cuban cigars now use other types of tobacco as wrappers.
This Corojo resurrects the authentic Cuban cigar experience - the smoking experience enjoyed by Rudyard Kipling, Winston Churchill, John Kennedy and so many others for over 70 years. The stick lives up to Kipling's observation that 'a woman is a woman but a good cigar is a smoke.'
Enjoy the classic spiciness and peppery smoothness that combine to deliver the 'punch' that connoisseurs associate with authentic Cuban cigars. |
