Swirling hues of deep dark garnet extend to a medium purple rim pushing a watery saffron edge. Clear brilliant lustre and luminosity with long legs and notable colour extraction foreshadow a complex and full bodied wine.


Alluring aromas of black cherries, black plum compote and black liquorice complemented by whispers of cassis and sweet spices with top notes of mocha and melted dark chocolate. Hints of vanilla, cinnamon and freshly rolled long leaf Havana tobacco allude to substantial oak pedigree.


Firm tannins and crisp acidity uplift fruit within a sensuous and silky mouth filling palate. Early flavours of orchard cherries, spiced black currants, Christmas pudding and Dutch black liquorice yield to mid-palate nuances of pencil shavings and seared meat with trailing notes of roasted red peppers, black peppercorns and cloves. Whispers of caramel and cocoa in a sultry, lingering farewell that touches all your senses.
